Police Scotland chase on Paisley Road West Glasgow ends in Crash

Coming back from seeing my brother, walked towards traffic lights at Dumbreck Road and Paisley Road West, it was foggy, heard sirens, then dark colour vehicle travelling down Dumbreck Road attempts to take a left turn onto PRW and smashes into traffic lights. Unmarked police cars on the scene immediately. Driver handcuffed and taken away. Given there were no traffic police, this looked like a plain clothes operation. involving several vehicles. I took some footage of the aftermath, including the police search of the car.

  1. George, The video wouldn't play, so I couldn't see the clip.
I tried it on the lowest level, but it was still unplayable.
Do you have to utilise Rumble despite the fact that it's not very reliable when it comes to playing?

    1. maybe you need to clear your cookies, seems to be working now, sometimes there is a buffering issue on this platform, but in general 720 p and lower seems to be okay.

  2. The other news story today was that there will be no indyref2; even if it is just an advisory kid-on one. Predictable really and predictable responses all round at Holyrood. More entertainment value with the RTA.

  3. The other news.....I would like to know the legal cost of this frivolous nonsense. Why can Nicoliar get highly paid lawyers to fight a case with no chance of winning, but Scottish abuse victims struggle to get a lawyer to fight their case?

  4. The Scottish Government and Scottish lawyers should be two separate entities but nowadays they are not. If the Scottish Government don't want lawyers to help you, then you will find it next to impossible to get any kind of legal help. I know this as I have had recent experience of how it works. Everybody knows about it and nobody cares. Sadly, that's 21st century Scotland.

  5. I mentioned on here a few months ago that Michelle Mone (or Lady Mone) introduced a friend's PPE company to the UK Government and they were fast-tracked into pole position and awarded a £200m contract to provide PPE during the pandemic. It transpires that Mone's husband, Isle of Wight financier Douglas Barrowman, received a £65m kickback from the PPE supplier which he transferred immediately to Mone and her three grown-up kids. Mone herself spent the pandemic lockdown on board a yacht in the Mediterranean. So, the Scottish Government do fraud all-right, but no-one does fraud better than the Tories. £65m would probably keep all of the Soup Kitchens in the UK running for years.

  6. I'll rather have the lovely looking Michelle anyday. Michelle for FM.

  7. We used the expression 'glamorous granny' all the time when I was at school. So, whilst I don't necessarily agree with you, I know what you mean. You can have Michelle then and I'll take the £65m.

  8. I see Wings over Scotland is back this morning. He even has a Chris Cairns cartoon. It seems to me to have lost some of its bite though. Even Stuart Campbell's articles have less energy about them nowadays.
